Making Our Events Accessible to Everyone
We're committed to creating Juneteenth celebrations where everyone feels welcome. Here's what we provide to remove barriers to participation.
Venue Accessibility
All our event venues feature wheelchair-accessible entrances and exits, accessible restrooms, and designated accessible parking spaces. We work with venues that meet or exceed ADA compliance standards.
Public Transportation
Every event listing includes directions via NJ Transit, with the nearest bus stops and light rail stations clearly marked. Most venues are within walking distance of major transit hubs in Newark.
Parking
We provide detailed parking information for each event, including on-site parking, nearby lots, accessible spaces, and estimated costs. When available, we arrange discounted parking for attendees.
Language Accessibility
We offer interpretation services and translated materials upon request. Contact us at least two weeks before an event to arrange language support for your family or group.
Dietary Accommodations
Food options at our events include vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-free choices. Detailed ingredient and allergen information is available for all food items served.
Family Support
We design our programming with families in mind. Many events feature child-friendly activities, nursing rooms, and family gathering spaces. We welcome children of all ages.
